Radix Week Wrap-Up Vol. 8

Radix Camper Results!!!!

The Warren Hill's crew crushed the DMR's at the Skyland Conference Relays with the Boys taking 1st place and Girls taking 2nd!

Radix Campers were well represented at the The Hudson County Relays.

On the boys side of the results, St. Peter's Prep and Memorial HS WNY went 1-2 in the 4x1600 and 4x800 with St. Peter's Prep taking the win in the 4x1600 but Memorial Grabbing the top spot in the 4x800. St. Peter's Prep came back to take the W in the DMR as well!

St. Dominic Academy had a huge day winning the 4x1600, DMR and 4x800!!! Those are some big team points!

Trinity Hall competed at the Big Blue Track & Field meet in Staten Island and earned a first place finish in the sophomore girls 4x800

CBA competed at the Husky Relays finishing 1st in the 4 x 800, 3rd in the 4 x 1600 and 3rd in the DMR

Elliot had a Big double at the Husky Relays...as you can tell he is exctied

Lou and Martinek both competed at the Mets. Lou ran a season best in the 3000sc and Martinek scored top 10 in the 800

Celeste PB's in the 3000 steeple chase!!

Camille ran the 1500 at the UConn Challenge running a season best in the 1500

What we are Watching

This amazing short video about Eliud Kipchoge confirmed two things for us. It take immense sacrifice to achieve great things and even the best become better with great teammates. Give this video a watch and we can promise you will become a better runner!

What we are Reading

We just finished reading Bowerman and the Men of Oregon. The book is a worth while read for anyone interested in becoming a coach, leader, athlete, inventor, or better person. Bowerman's drive and ingenuity were unmatched in his time. It's hard to play down the importance of Bowerman's effect on running ranging from the creation of Nike to greatly influencing the "jogging" boom. Also, if you ever watched Wild Wild Country, the book will be extra entertaining at times!
