Year two of Radix Running Camp is in the books. It was a wonderful week, seeing athletes from different teams across the state of New Jersey coming together to train, play, and make one another better.
Our Radix Campers were given the opportunity to get away and run on the quite dirt roads of Glen Spey New York. They made it up Mapes, a road that is becoming infamous with our campers. (check out @milesplit to see a brief portion that was posted)
We had product donations from Ulitma Replenisher (@goultima), an electrolyte company that kept the kids hydrated. Picky Bars (@pickybars) sponsored our Long Run and every athlete was provided a bar to try. Last, but certainly not least, Nike sent out one of their Brand Representatives to speak about innovation and inspiration, and donated a number of products for our athletes to take home with them. Big thank you to them.
Professional athletes from the Hoka New Jersey New York Track Club (@njnytc)Dani Aragon (@dandan398) & Travis Mahoney (@urbansteepler) and Adidas Athlete Robby Andrews (@robbyandrews) spoke to their stories and the ups and downs of life & running.
The kids competed in a color competition, creating team names, flags and mascots fighting it out in Dodgeball, Egg Toss, & the ever entertaining Ben Weingart 4 x Denim. This year the BLUE FLAMES took home the W!
Photos are posted on our home page, stop by and check out the camp culture. It was a great second year, and it's only going to get better!
